Well, January has come and gone and the first month of the year is out of the way. The politicians are getting up steam in this election year and they are on their soap boxes already giving us the good news that 2014 is going to be a great year. Not only them though, all the financial data from abroad is giving us the same feedback. Just look at the NZ$ compared to a year ago. We were trailing the Australian dollar and limping along. Now we are right out there with a very strong dollar. It was also good to see the financial ratings of our country retain their A++ rating, only one of 12 countries in the world to do so. All is looking good for a profitable election year and if you are not on board you are going to miss opportunities.

So it poses the following question…

What have you got in place to ensure you and your business are on track for a successful year?

Time and time again we let ourselves get caught up in the everyday hustle of our busy lives and don’t take the time out that is needed to think, plan and execute to achieve that desired outcome in business that we all wish for.

“The trouble with not having a goal or a plan is that you can spend your entire time running up and down the field and never score”.

Now we wouldn’t do that if we were playing sport would we? No, we would make darn sure that we had a plan in place to get past the other team’s defense so we had the kudos of kicking the winning goal or touching down the winning try.
