law of attraction

The Law of Attraction for Businesses

When the alarm went off at 6 am this morning and I struggled to put one foot in front of the other I wondered how many other people were clutching the duvet in desperation, unwilling to face the harsh reality of the chill of the morning.  As the country goes through another winter cold snap I’m totally grateful that since I now live in Auckland I really have very little to complain about.  I’m at the warmest end of the country and that thought alone was enough to bounce me out of bed and into my daily routine. Still focusing on the principles of the law of attraction every day is a motivated day for me.

It may too be the reminder of several years ago when I lived in Palmerston North (it’s a lot colder down there) and would religiously leap out of bed at 5.30 am, clamber into my sports clothes, a beanie and gloves, and join a dedicated friend on her morning run.  I can still remember how cold it was then so that in itself made me grateful today that I was in fact making coffee and not running!

The law of attraction and how it works

As the jug boiled and I made our morning coffees I got thinking about motivation.  What drives someone so much that they want to get out of bed in the dark and in the freezing cold to punish their body with a five or ten kilometre run?  That’s just the start of the day too.  There’s a full days work to follow that moment of madness and I should know as I did it for a long period of time. What I did is minor compared to the highly focused elite sports person but it was considerably more than a lot of people were willing to do.

I want to share this fantastic quote with you from Rita Coolidge … “Too often, opportunity knocks, but by the time you push back the chain, push back the bolt, unhook the two locks and shut off the burglar alarms, it’s too late.”  Think about that for a moment.

In your business life have you taken too long to seize that opportunity when it knocks? Are you so bogged down, disorganised or unmotivated that by the time you recognise the opportunity for what it is, it has passed right on by? There is a very good reason why I leap out of bed at 6 am and attack my day with enthusiasm, even though I was a little slower this morning. The buzz you get from being in action and being in control of your direction is totally motivating. It sets you up to achieve more and more. Action breds more action. Motivation breds more motivation. If you attract into your life more of what you continue to do wouldn’t it make sense to be doing positive, results driven activities as often as possible?
